Overall, I think this is a solid release which will give the buyer their money's worth with the time spent trying to master the necessary skills it takes to run fast and consistent lap after lap. You will unlock a very fun road course. Taking into consideration the price of NASCAR 09, all the game has to offer, and the challenge it presents trying to master your driving skills at the various tracks I would recommend picking up this title for the PS3.What I liked:--The detail of the various race tracks--Challenging 'Season' mode in your quest to win a championship--Solid graphics--A fairly large number of Sprint Cup drivers to choose from--Camera views to the Left, Right, & Behind your car--The options you have during a pit stop --Victory celebrationsWhat I disliked:--Getting the black flag for agressive driving on short tracks like Bristol or Martinsville can be very questionable at times--Very few Truck series drivers to choose fromYou can unlock a special track within the game along with obtaining the Walmart car. Go into the cheat code section of the game and type in "Walmart Everyday". NASCAR 09 is a hit.
NASCAR 09 is as real you can get into auto racing. Its pretty awesome youll feel like a pro driver in this game.
This is a fun game, and it works good on the playstation 3. Good graphics.
After wreck. Causing wreck. I've reserved myself to knowing I can never finish ahead of last on anything more difficult that a Rookie setting. If driving a real NASCAR is anything like the video game, then it should be noted that I would clearly leave it to the professionals. 42 Cars are doing nearly 200 mph bumper to bumper and the 43rd car is all over the place. After wreck.This might be the case where the game is SO realistic that it takes a real NASCAR driver (with the right virtual set up and a steering wheel) to be competitive.I'm not, and I'm more than just the casual fan.As bad as I am and as hard as the game is, I still enjoy trying.
I purchased this as a gift. The recipient enjoyed the game and was pleased to connect with a number of people online to simulate the race.
